Catch Up!

This past weekend I did start thinking about Christmas...

I did a little shopping for it as well.

Im trying to get a jump on things so I dont get overwhelmed.

If I buy a few gifts per week, I hope to get it all done in time.

 

We pulled out Samantha's tree and its all lit up in her room.

She loved decorating it, and she also found our dancing christmas tree and singing Rudolph.

Her and Andrew were having fun with them this week.

 

Andrew finished his ear medicine, but I think he's still in pain.

He's constantly grabbing at his ears, and when he's sleeping (with us) at night.. he is still waking up crying.. Lord will this child ever sleep.. and enjoy it?

I digress...

 

I got to straigten my hair this week.. more than once!

Ahh its the little things.

I've been trying to buy more variety of foods for Andrew.

I really want to start feeding him a lot.

Im feeling like I want to give him the opportunity to wean on his own, Im in no hurry..

But I know once he's 1, I'll be hurrying him along, and eventually cutting him off perhaps like I did with Samantha.. who till I did wean her completely.. didnt sleep to well either.

 

Saturday we had some lovely morning guests!

 

Our dear friend MoMo and Gabrielle from Colorado were in town!

Samantha had such a good time coloring with Grammy and MoMo.

 

 I made the Pioneer Woman's French Breakfast Puffs.

O M G

These are fantastic.

I swear ... I love everything she makes...

Everything...

 

 Samantha loved Gabrielle.

And if Gabrielle lived here.. I would steal her and make her our full time babysitter.. hands down

So sweet and so wonderful with both kids.. I miss you!! Come back!







 

After a little visiting we decided to drive up with them to Niagara Falls.

Andrew slept the entire way up.. thank goodness.



 

After a short cat nap he was all smiles, and enjoying his first time at Niagara Falls.

Samantha had fun running around.. and she insisted upon wearing her large pink tutu to the falls...

 It was a short visit for MoMo and Gabrielle..

We had so much fun with you both!

Monday it was back to school for Samantha Jane..

She's doing so much better. She even left Debbie in the hall in her backpack the last 2 days..

She made us some festive artwork

 My Erin Condren life planner came today.. Yeay...

I know I can probably put everything I need to know in my iphone.. but Im old fashioned in the sense that I really like making lists, colorful pens, sticky notes, stickers.. organizing.. and I love all of EC's stuff & designs.. I bought one last year ... and this year I chose a smaller thinner notebook.. and I really like it.

Samantha LOVES being a little mama..

Today she wanted to feed him his squash.. so I gladly let her try.

She did so good.. Talking to him like I do.. Its so funny ...

"Okay are you ready for another bite big dude?"

"Oh good job big dude... wow you really like your squash"..

I was peeing my pants.

Its so amazing the dialogue she has with him.

He's starting to take steps.

Yes.

Every day he's getting a little better

But soon I'll have a walker in the house..

Twas the Night Before PreSchool {Weekend Recap}

Our weekend started off with SJ getting her very own BIG GIRL BED!

I know please dont judge... she's 3 and she was still in a crib up until a few days ago...

She wasnt the best sleeper... and after Andrew was born and he was severely colic...I was not about to wake up with a toddler wandering out of her bed when she wasnt ready.

 The transition is going very well.

She (knock on wood) hasnt attempted to get out ... and stays in her bed until someone comes to wake her up in the morning and after naps.

Thank goodness.. Im glad we waited.. and Im glad the transition was perfect.

 

We had visitors this weekend from Ohio and Washington DC

My in-laws and sis-in-law visited us.

We made yummy homemade pizza's and jalapeno poppers friday night, and then headed to the park to show off our duck feeding skills..

They couldnt beleive how friendly the ducks were.

 And little brother was duck observing... he loves watching them and his little head just moved back and forth in awe.

 Saturday we picked many crops from the garden....

and headed to the Mercy Flight open house with Samantha ... Baka stayed home with a sleeping Andrew.

I snuck out to Target while Samantha slept later that day..

But this is the only way I could go... with Andrew strapped to me like a newborn...

Hey.. I got my target fix

 Today we had breakfast and the inlaws were on the road early.

We had such a nice weekend..

Tomorrow is a big big day.. and im so nervous.. I hope all goes well.

I'll be sure to report all the details ASAP..

Sweet boy drops his paci out of his mouth and still is sucking away in his sleep..

Ahh I love these baby moments, I hope I never loose this memory.

So Twas the Night before Preschool.. and all is very quiet in this house..

We had a ROUGH night with Andrew ...he cut 2 more teeth this weekend.. his top two..

He's not wasting any time growing up I guess..

So now we have 4 teeth on our little 7 month old..

I must say .. he does take his tylenol and orajel like a champ, and he handles the pain well..

But I was up at 2:30, 5:30 (for an hour) and 7am...and then he slept till 9:30..

So Momma's sleeeeeeeepy

Monday...

Samantha had her 3 year Dr's appointment

I took her by myself, and told her if she was brave, we'd get a treat...

She did pretty well, even though she's extremely shy.. and I could tell she was very very nervous..

I prepped her by playing with her Doctor kit the week before and told her everything the Dr was gonna do to make sure she was healthy.. so she did pretty well with the exam.

She's 50% for height and 70% for weight I think.. they dont give me a little piece of paper anymore like when she was a baby..(tear*)

So she got a cupcake at a nearby bakery on the way to Grammy's house.

Grammy hosted a little pool party/bbq ... and it was so much fun!

Tuesday..

I received my awesome new gifts via Holly my Swap partner from

Meg's Lip Gloss and Mascara Swap!

More detailed post to come.. but I loved everything she picked out for me.. and cant wait to get all pretty!

Wednesday
we had our Nanny over and her boyfriend for a farewell dinner

She's moving to my favorite place.. NC!! She is actually moving to our same little town, and renting in our SAME condo complex.. crazy, right? What are the odds! Im so happy for her and at the same time, sad that she's leaving and will be far away..

We made grilled pizzas, she brought an amazing salad and dip, and I made these for dessert

from Pinterest of course.. Banana Caramel Cream Dessert!

Thursday
We visited our friend Julie who just had her 4th baby!
Taking both kids by myself was a bit of a struggle that day.. Andrew was OVER due for a nap, so we didnt stay too long.
 I stopped for scones from Panera for Julie, and I treated SJ with her FAVORITE all time cookie..

She ate a good lunch.. so ...

Friday
(and yes she is wearing the SAME shirt as Thursday..) I did wash it.. all I do is laundry...
Anyways..
We headed for the Zoo.
It was a mild night.. still hot, but we walked around and it wasnt too crowded
We rode the Carousel 3 times.. ha!

When we first arrived Andrew was snoozing...

All the animals seemed to be out... even our favorite Rhino...

Saturday...

we headed over to my cousin's house for a cookout.

We had hotdogs, I made potato salad, and the kids had fun swimming and playing outside

They were away when Samantha turned 3, so they gave her some new dollhouse furniture for her big Fisher Price loving family set...

She was occupied for a while Sunday...

 Setting up her house.. .

 And I ended the weekend with a Peanut Butter and Jelly Bar via Ina Garten, topped with Vanilla Ice Cream... what a long week!

I've been meaning to get this post up ALL weekend, and just kept adding to it and adding to it..
Its been so busy/crazy... I try to squeeze in blogging all the time!

Weekend

We had a busy weekend! .. And it was finally NOT about house repairs! ha! We had visitors from Ohio.. Micho, Wendy and Brea!

I just realized I only took 1 good pic of the girls.. and my camera died while we were at Niagara Falls.



Here are a few of our bubba a t the falls with Dadda.

We went to the falls and then we had to treat Buffalo style with Lanova! CHicken Finger pizza and Wings.. yum!

Sunday we got up and went to brunch. I snapped a few of sjm while we were waiting outside the restaurant for a table.





It was such a pretty day.. 60's and Sunny..
