Tubes

 

Sooooo....

The appointment we've been waiting for...

The ENT Dr.

 We did a hearing test.. which he scored pretty low on...

and then she did an ear exam and found lots of fluid build up.

 

So all those antibiotics he was on??

Did nothing.. nada..

Tubes it is..

Surgery is Monday for our little guy....

 

Big Sister was along for the visit, and wanted to be "sick" too..

ha! She's a little jealous of all the attention I think .. 



 

Everyone I've spoken to said the surgery is no big deal..

But the thought of putting my little baby to sleep just seems so scary to me.

Im hoping that the surgery makes a little bit of a difference.. He's just so miserable most of the time... Cant sleep, screams, pulls his ears constantly... and I cant do a thing for him! I think thats the worst part, knowing he has to endure this pain.. and I CANT HELP!!!

 

Releif is on the way little big dude...

Monday we have to be at the hospital at 6am..

Oh yea.. and I cant nurse him after midnight on Sunday.... great..

That is the ONLY way I've gotten him to sleep during the night to avoid a screaming freak out..

Its going to be an emotional 24 hours ...

Randoms {Jogger, Puffs, Daddy's Dinner}

After his shots.. little man was pooped..

Totally not himself on Friday or Saturday...

Good thing sister was home to help.

She calls herself a "nurser".. not a nurse...ha!

So she got her brother a nice Cinderella bandaid for his boo boos

I took Andrew for a little walk but you can see in his face he was totally dazed.

He hasnt been sleeping as well as the last few weeks.

Waking up 2 times a night rather than 1 or even sleeping through.

Its worse I think when they start sleeping through the night.. and then they dont... Im so much more tired...ugh.

Saturday we gave Andrew some puffs..

I started with a new brand.

Plum Organic

They stuck to his fingers, and I think he almost gagged on the one that he finally got in his mouth.

But every day since has been getting better.

We picked some crops from our garden this weekend too!

Daddy did a good job growing Corn!

And he made the ENTIRE dinner Friday night, and all the veggies you see on this plate.. From our very own garden! So so yummy!

During dinner Friday,

My newest love arrived.

A double jogger!

We soooo needed one.

We take a lot of walks.

I absolutely love it.

And I think the kids do too!

Andrew's 6 Month Doc's Appointment

Thursday Andrew had his 6 month well visit.

He didnt take a nap at all that morning.. our appt was for 11, and he was passed out in the waiting room. I was glad he didnt sleep though, b/c he would be getting shots, so hopefully he'd be tired, and get some rest after it was all over..

I woke up early, before the kids and made a cute bento lunch for Samantha.

Auntie Shauna came over and babysat while I took Andrew.

 His cat nap was over and he got weighed, measured, etc..

He was in a great mood.. just laughing and cooing ... and we waited pretty long for the doctor this time.. ugh.

All looked great.

We always talk to the Dr about how far he's come, and how we cant beleive what a happy baby he is now and it was so hard at the beginning...

He's almost off the charts with height and weight which doesnt surprise me at all..

He's a big boy.

He screamed and turned beet red when he got his 2 shots,

but then he was fine, and was so chill.. very zoned out on the way home, and then fell asleep and took a great nap! And so did Samantha! yeay!

SO here are his stats at 6 months

So happy for a happy and healthy baby!

We go back at 9 months in October.. gosh that seems like its right around the corner.. is he really more than 1/2 way to ONE??? Good God..

Time is flying...

So I try to really appriciate every day that I am home with my kids,

Every day that he is happy and healthy, and every day that he even wakes up to nurse in the middle of the night..

I dont really stress like I (we) did with SJ because she was our first I guess, and we didnt know what the hell we were doing, ha!
