The Pioneer Woman's Flat Apple Pie.

It came out great. Its very rustic looking, which I love.

The dough/crust is what makes this pie.

I made one pie and froze the additional crust it made.

And drizzled Caramel Sauce over the piece before I shoved it in my mouth at 11pm last night...

TMI???

Thai Chicken Noodle Salad

I found this in an old FOOD magazine by Martha Stewart.

One thing that this recipe calls for is Vermicelli Rice Noodles.. which I've never cooked with.

You kind of just soak them, instead of boiling them.

It was a different style of dinner for sure.

Samantha got a pass for this meal...she got to have something a litte more American..

My New Pastry Cutter

I had not owned one before yesterday.

I made the pie crust WITHOUT it.. and noticed it wasnt blended as well as it needed to be

So im looking forward to making the crust again.. the right way with my pastry cutter...

First Target Run with 2 Kids

This was a brave thing I did..

I could tell baby A was due for his usual mid-morning snooze

We loaded up and made it home without any meltdowns, or even whimpers!

We needed just a few things.. paper towels, chicken, we found some gift bag goodies for SJ's Wizard of Oz party.. and some Pre-School Scissors and Construction paper to practice cutting with scissors

Target Iced Coffee

I decided to give this a try. - but really I dont think its any different than regular coffee.. they always get me with their new stuff like this.. ugh.. its good.. but I wouldnt buy it again ..

I brewed a full pot yesterday.. and then when it cooled put it in the fridge.

This morning I filled up my Copco with Ice, Coffee, Simple Syrup I had made, Cream, and Caramel..

It was my own personal Iced Caramel Macchiatto.. and it was wonderful!

Its to damn hot to be heatin' up the coffee maker

and today the humidity is off the charts.. so glad I had this pre-made wake up juice!

Oatmeal Whoopie Pies

I just kind of made this up.

I used the Oatmeal Cookie recipe I posted about HERE

and buttercream, made sandwiches, and rolled them in patriotic sprinkles.

I brought them to my Mom's for a cookout we had this past weekend..

What Im Loving Wednesday

WILW - May 2012 Edition.

Not only have I not been blogging recently, but I've slacked on WILW with Jamie

So here's what I've been loving...

1. Getting my hair did.

Its been so so long.. I needed a good highlight, cut, thinning, and retouch.. ahhh I feel like a new woman..

 2. New Shampoo...

Fekkai Color line. I havent tried it yet, but my Mom used it while visiting a friend in Calif.. and says its amazing!

 3. Peanut Butter Honey Ice Cream (courtesy of Pinterest)

I cant wait to try and make this.

I love peanut butter ANYTHING...

 4. My little studly man.

He was so cute at a family graduation party this weekend.. and so well behaved.

He's getting SO enormous.. but Polo does run small. This shirt is 9 months, and I dont think he'll be squeezing his round belly into it again...sad.

 5. My Sassy little girlfriend.

This is her right after her afternoon nap.

She either wakes up super happy... or really whiny and sleepy..  Guess which day it was ??? haha

6. Party Prep...

Im loving getting all the final details ready for AG's Christening...

The desserts Im making include: Oreo Balls, Cupcakes, Cookies and an assortment of "blue" candy/sweets.. I cant wait! and YES I WILL post pics/recipes... etc.

What Im Loving Wednesday {Short and Sweet}

If you read my blog, you'll know that lately my life has been very ... uhhh.. Busy to say the least.

But I found this yesterday at the grocery store and its helping me get through my morning... I even got dressed today, got a load of laundry done, and washed and put the spring sheet set on our bed.. woah .. big things happening today...

Iced Coffee.. just add ice..

At first I thought... GROSS!!!

I added LOTS of ice and some creamer to a tall glass.

I let it sit about 5-10 min, and it was delish!

I noticed the more the icecubes start to melt, the better it tastes!

I found this on Pinterest (of course)... and I thought it was hysterical..
Im also loving my newest baking gadget. Its a mini pie press for heart shaped individual pies. I got it at Michael's 3.99 plus I had a 50% coupon, so it was well worth it..
I am in love with this next pinterest find.. I think I found a project for myself..
Its a cardboard coffee stand/store. I really really want to make something like this for SJ... okay and a little for the kid in me too.. I'll have to start gathering supplies once my life calms down a bit.. whenever that will be!
And Im loving my little bean inside my tummy... we're 37.5 weeks today.. and doctor has him possibly coming early.. we shall see!

I found this pretty awesome organic tea at my grocery store.

When I start nursing I guess it promotes healthy lactation.. we'll see!

What Im Loving Wednesday {Ohio Edition}

Coming to you from Ohio! We are visiting my in-laws for the week.

AS soon as we got here.. fresh homemade Peanut Butter Sandwich cookies.. um yea...

They're almost gone now.. I have to get the recipe before I leave

Im Loving just being here.. I lived here for almost 10 years before we moved to NC, and before I met Mathew, had a baby... yadda yadda.. so I love coming back to visit and see friends and fam!

Im also loving Buckeyes... ever have em? I found a pretty good recipe HERE, and maybe I'll make em one day.. If you like chocolate and peanut butter.. this is your kind of sweet.

I THINK I might be loving these before we leave.. they have Krispy Kreme here! They had one in Wilmington when we lived in NC.. and we did frequent it a LOT when I was preggers with SJ.. ahh they are SOOOO good fresh.. not the same when you buy em in the store..


I am loving that Im 23 weeks and little man is kicking and kicking away in there.. very very good feeling!

Dr's Appt: Im just thankful and loving that everything is going very smoothly with this 2nd baby. So many times I find myself taking for granted how FAST I've been able to get pregnant, and how lucky we are to have a healthy girl and baby boy on the way. So many people struggle, and I have prayed for many people that are in difficult situations concerning babies, and trying to get pregnant. So I am counting my blessings, and trying to remember to do so more often!
Fall Weather: It has been so nice this week, and we've been loving it!
We took Samantha to my cousin's soccer game before swimming the other night..

She just loooved watching the "girls" kick around the soccer ball...

Thats it for now, short and sweet.

1. Target Cinna-Nut Coffee... its so good! And until all things pumpkin return in a week or two, I really enjoy this in the cool mornings...

2. Seeing Fall Mums, and picturing our fall porch all decorated for fall
3. Up All Night.. new fall show.. I think I will be DVR'ing this one, looks hysterical, and I love Christina Applegate.
4. I love that I'VE BEEN COOKING!... the weather is slightly changing here, and I've been motivated to cook and cook and bake, and eat it too!

Here's a few things I've been loving since last Wednesday.... Linking up with Jamie

Hobby Lobby is getting ready for fall and I got so excited looking at all the decor, candles, colors....

Im Loving these vintage books I am collecting maybe for my office/craft space, or for baby #2, cant decide yet..Im trying to collect a rainbow



Samantha and all of us have been loving eating outside.. we've been making some yummy dishes on the grill and she loves sitting in her chair and eating outdoors..

Im loving my new office supplies.. Im kind of a list nerd.. I bought a new notebook for making grocery lists, baby#2 items, and craft orders.. but I didnt stop there.. I got some fancy colored pens, and some post it note tabs to mark where my lists are at.. Im a compulsive list maker.. so getting new "school supplies" motivates me .... if you're a list maker you know what im sayin'

Im always loving my family and my little bean in my pouch. I am having to restrain myself from buying adorable clothes i've been seeing.. because we dont know what it is yet.. but i did find these adorable shoes at Hobby Lobby to go in his/her new nursery.

Im loving my newest miracle ..

He/She is loungin' in my tummy.. and was VERY active yesterday for our first sonogram..

As you can see...the tiny leg sticking up...Its hands and arms and legs were all over the place..

Such an eye-opener to see it .. I know Im pregnant, but as soon as I saw this little bean moving around, it just made it all the more real for me.

Its my most prized possession and Im going to make sure I take good care of it!

They are delish! So glad my awesome grocery store carries them!

The Lake.. we went this weekend on Sunday for a little adventure..Its not Surf City beach by any means, but I still love living by water!
