Halloween 2012

Our Halloween started off at Samantha's school for a little singing and finger play.
She was so excited to see us!
I took a ton of videos on my phone.
All the kids were so adorable!
She has 10 kids in her class, boys and girls, but all the girls sit on one side, and all the boys on another.. so cute.
After school Teta Nina arrived from Washington for a visit!
She came bearing gifts!
Mama got some Bare Escentuals makeup which I love, and this amazing cake pop maker from Williams Sonoma! Love my sis in law! She knows what I like!
SJ took a nap while Andrew, Nina and I went grocery shopping and picked up a pizza for dinner, it made the whole dinner process so much easier.
Daddy lit the pumpkins, and we got ready.
The pumpkin above was hand drawn by Samantha.
I just cut it out..
Andrew didnt participate outside since it was about 43 degrees and light misty rain..
But he got his Lion's mane on for a few pics..
Samantha insisted on being a Dragon again... so we said "No Problem"
It fits, it was warm, and no costume buying/deciding for her this year.
Andrew did pretty well with the photo shoot too!
 One with Teta
 My little lion cub
 She was READY!!!
She stayed out pretty much from 6-7:30pm
And got lots of great loot!!!
Mama has been sneaking tastes all day....

Halloween 2011

{Halloween 2011}

Not as big as Turkey Day or Christmas, but I REALLY REALLY love Halloween.

I painted our small baking pumpkins over the weekend... I think they looked so cute!

Our "real" pumpkins that we sat out on the porch ...and Samantha showing her pumpkin/surprise face.. She really loved watching certain Halloween stuff on TV, She got some really cute Halloween books this year, and I brought out the ones from last year which to her was like another present since she'd forgotten..

Sunday {10.30.11} We had our friends Chad and Julie and their three kids over for a little get together/football party. They had never been to our house.. and I finally just picked a Sunday and said come over! Samantha loved playing with the girls and Cooper!
We had Chili, Cornbread and Salad for dinner, and My mom made an Apple Pie for dessert, and I was craving Brownies.. and I made homemade Hershey's frosting.. so so good!

Halloween {10.31.11}
We attempted a family photo before her trick-or-treating..... She isnt even looking, Daddy wasnt smiling... Oh lordy.. It was rushed, -- she was on a mission....

Her first piece of candy! She didnt quite get the house-to-house idea at the beginning. The first house we went to, she thought we were going inside.. and started for the door..So we had to explain, "follow the kids, more candy..." and then she got it...

She started off slow.... holding Daddy's hand

Then got the hang of it and was running from house to house!

She loves her cousin Merdewith...Meredith!

After about 30 minutes.. She made it all the way down the street and through a cauldesac before she'd had enough... We headed back, and she unloaded and was licking her lips.. deciding which "candy" she wanted...

We dont give her hardly ANY candy ever, so this was a real treat...

She went after a Milky Way bar first.. she'd never had one before!
Pumpkin Rice Krispies! Idea from Pinterest too...

Hope everyone had a nice Halloween... now its on to the next Holiday.. which is Thanksgiving.. but if you've been to any stores lately.. you'd swear it was already December!

Happy 2nd Halloween Samantha!

Happy 2nd Halloween Samantha!
Well these pics are from a few days ago at the park...the ones we took tonight are still in my camera.
These few pictures are from last year on the beach in North Carolina...

and in the condo.

She was showing off not one.. but 2 costumes last year.

We went to Chad and Julie's for their annual Halloween party. It was so much fun! They had so many great foods... Salad, Soup, Bread..mmmm....and lots of candy, donuts, caramel apples, pumpkin seeds, cider.. It was a true Halloween party the food was amazing!

Sam made it to ONE.. yes.. ONE house.. she was more interested in picking leaves outside.. and since it was around 40 degrees.. we took her back inside.. which was fine because they had boatloads of toys for her to play with.

She was a little busy bumblebee. And since we call her Beezus....or just "B"..it seemed quite perfect.
